This is a series of articles in letter form written by a Pa Dutchman to himself. Sounds odd, but he was the editor of a local newspaper and it carried his letters.
With wit, humor, and rhyme, he has written about the 4 seasons and Christmas as the special season of year.
His dialect is probably from Bayern or Ober Bayern area in southern Germany. It differs from our Berks/Lehigh County dialect which reflects the Rhineland area.
